UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO DENVER - CU ONLINE

CU Online is the marketing and enrollment arm of the University of Colorado Denver's online programs and courses. They are part of the University of Colorado network and fall under the CU banner. 

THE CHALLENGE

The University of Colorado Denver Online (CU Online) decided to develop a new website, independent of ucdenver.edu (the University of Colorado Denver's website) in order to separately promote their online and hybrid programs. This came with many strategic decisions including search engine optimization impact, page structure, framework, content development and copywriting, research, interviews, and user experience research and development.

THE SOLUTION

HIVE Digital Strategy assisted CU Online in transforming the way that they think about search engine optimization, website content, blogging and development of their website for a better user experience.

THE TACTICS

Tactics used to reach their goals and KPI's included a full search engine optimization audit of all CU Online and CU Denver website pages and assets, in person and virtual training sessions, program interviews with department and school representatives, copywriting for pages and blog, framework development, and user experience best practices and data analytics.

THE KPIS

For CU Online, the primary KPIs were focused on improved representation of their online and hybrid programs to increase interest in enrollment while providing content for all stages of the student journey (top, middle, and bottom of the funnel).
